All
the functional agents of The Port are connected to the dedicated
information structure: The City.
Therefore, every entry or consultation of information with the help
of an agent within the perimeter of The Port, will be stocked
and available.
Example:
A user will be able to, from his personal interface, enter the name
of a client company into the search engine The
Guide and find the press articles available thanks to The
Wind, the correspondence thanks to The
Radio, the meeting thanks to The
Log-book, the internal information entered via The
Wind or any other information in provenance of an application
compatible with The Port.
The
Port technical architecture
The
plan of the Technical Architecture presents 3 reading perimeters:
- The Port and its agents ;
- The Portmaster ;
- The external environment (databases and external information)
The
user accesses the environment The Portmaster and that of
The Port via his navigator, in which the web pages are shown
and the applets are executed. All the elements compatible with the
navigator are executed without any difficulty.
Behind
the navigator, used in the context of an Internet, Intranet, or
Extranet, treatments (essentially servlets) are executed on the
server. The Wind's documents cache uses XML specially formatted
for The Port in the aim of optimising the and increasing
the transaction speed. This cache helps to regulate the sending
of commands to the source application. The indicators generated
periodically are automatically updated in the cache, which allows
an asynchronous treatment on the indicators.
